Precipitation Behavior of Magnetite Phase during Modified Nickel Slag Treated by Molten Oxidation

Nickel slag is a kind of solid waste with high yield and low utilization rate. However, there large amount Fe in nickel slag, which mainly exists the form fayalite. In this study, used as raw material. The addition CaO can destroy network structure fayalite, iron-rich phase be oxidized to magnetite under oxidation condition. It beneficial recovery iron resources. effect basicity on structural reconstruction molten precipitation investigated. results show that when 0.38–1.50, degree polymerization silicate decreases increase basicity. When temperature 1450–1500°C, viscosity first then increases lowest 0.90, granular begins precipitate during non-equilibrium solidification at 1455°C. growth rate 1.20 µm/s 0–10 s, significantly higher than 0.16 10–22 grain size remains unchanged after 22 s.
